After a contract is created and agreed on by both parties, there is a lot of work to do before the final settlement and exchange of ownership. Jarrett Lawrie Conveyancing has your back throughout that process. We can handle the inspections and reports related to the strata you are attempting to buy or sell.

These reports include pest and building inspections and reports, along with a review of the strata roll. The roll is crucial as it lets you know about relevant facts about your property such as strata levies, administration and maintenance costs and other details that may effect buyers and sellers.

3. Financing

We will help you to get the mortgage you need to complete your transaction. Most clients finance part of the strata transaction with a mortgage. We liaise with your financial provider to deliver documents and move through any hurdles that may delay the completion of the transaction.

4. Contracts

When everything is done it's time to meet with the other party and exchange the relevant contracts. Both parties must agree to all the terms of the contract while also having a five working day cooling off period to make a final decision about whether they want to proceed with the purchase or sale.

There is typically a four week period between the cooling off stage and the settlement. This is the time when we conduct inquiries with the local council, water authority and other entities regarding your unit. We ensure everything is in order before the settlement.

5. Settlement
